Hollerith IV to consecrated as bishop at Hall
Delegates in the Diocese of Southern Virginia elected Rev. Herman “Holly” Hollerith IV the tenth bishop of Southern Virginia Saturday. According to an article in The Virginian-Pilot, Hollerith, 53, was chosen from six candidates at a meeting in Richmond. A majority of Episcopalian bishops and diocesan standing committees must now consent to his nomination.
The next bishop will be consecrated Feb. 13 in a ceremony at William and Mary Hall.
