Alumnus wins Pulitzer
Serge Kovaleski ’84 received a Pulitzer Prize Thursday for his coverage of the scandal surrounding former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer.
“It doesn’t sink in right away,” Kovaleski said in a press release. “I know I’m only as good as my last story.”
Kovaleski, along with other New York Times reporters, received the award in the “Breaking News Reporting” category.
In March, the FBI released documents indicating that Spitzer was “Client 9″ in a case regarding a high-end prostitution ring operating on the east coast.
Kovaleski was awarded the Pulitzer at a ceremony held at Columbia University.
