The Rita Welsh Adult Literacy Program and Big Brothers Big Sisters will hold a dance contest fundraiser for their benefit March 13th in the style of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.”

The fundraiser, entitled “Dancing with the Williamsburg Stars,” will take place at Phi Beta Kappa Hall, and will feature “celebrity” dancers such as James City County Police Chief Emmett Harmon, Sal’s by Victor owner Victor Minichiello and the College’s School of Education Dean Ginny McLaughlin.

Judges for the contest include College President Taylor Reveley, Dance professor Rebecca Rushforth and retired NFL quarterback Aaron Brooks. Former “Dancing with the Stars” judge Baz Luhrmann may have been out of the event’s price range.
