Catholic University dismisses rumor of gang attack

Catholic University officials dismissed fears of an impending attack by street gang MS-13 in a campus-wide e-mail October 28.

A rumor had circulated that gang members planned to attack CUA female students as part of an initiation rite. The university’s public safety department contacted the Intelligence Unit of the Washington D.C. police, which denied the claim.
