Deep thoughts

There is a lot of discussion about penis length in American sexual culture. But what about vaginal depth? Well, I’ll tell you what: It’s a non-issue.

For most women, the length from the vaginal opening to the cervix is 3-4 inches. However, when aroused, a woman’s vagina can expand to fit almost any penis, regardless of length or width. The cervix moves up further into the body to accommodate the penis.

This may come as a surprise to some readers, especially straight men. Almost any man with a significant amount of sexual experience has hit a woman’s cervix with his penis at some point. This can be very uncomfortable for the woman and strange for the man.

But just because this has happened, does not mean her vagina is too shallow for your penis. There are a number of things that may have happened: The position you are in may allow for less depth than usual, or she may not be fully aroused. Luckily, both of these problems have quick fixes.

So, does a woman’s length matter? Not in my estimation. Then again, I wouldn’t say a man’s length matters either … but that’s a topic for another blog entry.
