Men’s soccer earns NCAA Tournament bid

The College of William and Mary earned an NCAA Tournament bid for the first time since 2004 Monday night.

The Tribe (10-6-3), who translated its strong RPI into a berth, hosts Winthrop University Friday at 7 p.m. The winner will advance to play no. 1 seed Wake Forest University Nov. 25 in Winston-Salem, N.C.

The College gathered at a teammate’s house to watch the selection show on ESPN NEWS, erupting with excitement when the Tribe’s bid was announced.
