Editor-in-Chief: Ethan Qin ’26
Ethan (he/him) is a finance and data science student from Vienna, Virginia. He hopes to continue The Flat Hat’s historic legacy of impactful reporting and storytelling, as well as grow closer with all the amazing people on staff. On campus, he serves as an Orientation Aide and a member of the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity. In his free time, Ethan enjoys listening to music, weightlifting, seeing his friends, and trying new coffee shops.

Mona (she/her) is from Richmond, Virginia and hopes to continue the paper’s role of amplifying diverse voices that spark important discussions. Megan (she/her) is as English and Government double major from Chantilly, Virginia. She is excited to highlight our talented staff’s creativity and spotlight the diversity on our campus this year. Outside of The Flat Hat, she is also involved in theatre and the STAIR lab, and loves doing Pilates.

Alex (she/her) is a philosophy major from Tokyo, Japan. Aside from Flat Hat, she is involved in the Japanese American Student Association and the Flat Hat Magazine. She enjoys vintage fashion and decor, Snoopy, and making Swedish and Japanese cuisine in her free time. She also loves Garfield.

Rebecca Fuchs (she/they, they/she) is a transfer student from Rockville, Maryland and is majoring in Public Policy and minoring in Environmental Science and Sustainability (ENSP). They are also a Student Researcher with the Institute for Integrative Conservation (IIC), working on a year-long research program focusing on Indigenous peoples in Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina! Skyler (she/her) is from Madison, Wisconsin. She is planning to major in history and minor in creative writing. You might find her taking pictures of pretty sunsets, sipping on hot chocolate at Aroma’s, or playing clarinet with the W&M pep band at sports games. She hopes to help the data section expand in its number and variety of stories. After graduation, she plans to go to law school.

Abby (she/her) is a sociology and government double major from Wisconsin. She plays piano for the Jazz Band, and is passionate about climate advocacy. Abby’s goal is that The Flat Hat gives a voice to as many students as possible, and she is excited to work with other passionate writers.

Abby (she/her) is a hopeful Film and History double major, a soon-to-be resident of the Chinese House, a member of William and Mary Club Fencing, Syndicate, and ice skating coach at the Chilled Ponds rink at Yorktown. She is a military kid who has lived in California, Hawaii, and England and hopes to travel more in the future. She aspires to bring variety to Variety and encompass the wide range of activities and organizations campus has to offer.

Daniel Choi (he/him) is a junior from South Korea, majoring in Government with a minor in Marketing at William & Mary. He serves as the Business Manager for the Flat Hat Newspaper and Magazine, where he is dedicated to securing advertisements and maintaining the publications’ presence on campus and in the community. Daniel is also the Chief of Staff in the Economics Club, fostering connections among students interested in Economics. Additionally, he is the Sponsorship Coordinator for TEDx at William & Mary 2025. In his free time, Daniel enjoys exploring culinary arts, visiting modern museums, playing golf, and indulging in his love for coffee and tea.
