Men’s Basketball: Tribe rolls past Towson

Three weeks ago, junior guard David Schneider missed the Tribe’s game against Towson when the College lost 69-59 and committed 22 turnovers.

Tonight at Towson Schneider erupted for 26 points, hitting 8 of 14 field goals and 8 of 9 from the foul line. He led the Tribe to a dominating 76-54 win over the Tigers.

Schneider punished Towson with drives to the basket, pull-up jumpers, long-range shots and his nine rebounds.

His play helped fuel the team’s 45-point second half, during which the Tribe broke open a two-possession game and ran away from the Tigers.

The Tribe steps out of the conference Saturday when it hosts Manhattan as part of the ESPNU BracketBusters. Tipoff is 2 p.m.
