After gaining national attention for its upsets of ACC powerhouses Maryland and Wake Forest last year, the College announced its 2010-11 non-conference schedule today.
The College will open its season on Nov. 12 against in-state rival Virginia in Charlottesville, and then will travel to Richmond three days later to take on the Spiders on Nov. 15.
The Tribe will then begin play in the Legend’s Classic tournament, which includes a road date with Big East foe Syracuse and home games against Gardner-Webb, Western Carolina and Mercer. Those games will take place from Nov. 26 to Nov. 28.
After games against Howard, Shenandoah, and Liberty, the College will visit Chapel Hill to take on North Carolina, whom the College lost to in the first round of the NIT tournament last year on Dec. 21.
The College’s final non-conference game will occur in Farmville, Va. against Longwood on Dec. 29.
While the unveiling of the non-conference schedule, the College has shed some light on its 2010-11 schedule, but the full extent of the Tribe’s schedule will not be known until it reveals its CAA schedule, which should be released shortly.
