*The Flat Hat Fund*
This year The Flat Hat celebrates 100 years of engaging, thoughtful and thorough student journalism. With no source of journalism programming at the College of William and Mary, we have established The Flat Hat Fund.
The Fund was created in honor of the paper’s centennial to help provide journalism-related resources to all students at the College. Your contribution can help bring speakers to campus, provide scholarships for journalism programming and workshops, and establish classes at the College to help train the next generation of reporters, video producers and editorialists.
Whether you were on staff or off, if The Flat Hat has touched your life in anyway — whether through the portfolio it helped you create or the leadership skills it taught you, or by helping keep you in touch with the campus conversation through your time at the College and beyond — we ask you to consider a contribution to The Flat Hat Fund.

*The Flat Hat Centennial Banquet*
In honor of 100 years, The Flat Hat cordially invites all former staff members to attend a celebratory banquet and reception over Homecoming Weekend, featuring speakers Taylor Reveley, president of the College, and Serge Kovaleski ’84, staff reporter for The New York Times and 2009 Pulitzer Prize winner. During the banquet The Flat Hat will also announce its centennial gift to the College.
Location: The Wren Building
Date: Saturday, Oct. 23 2010
Time: The banquet in the Great Hall will begin at 5:00 p.m. and run for approximately two hours. A reception for the speakers, current staff members and former staffers will follow in the Wren Courtyard with light refreshments and drinks. In the event of rain, the reception will be held in the Wren Portico.
Space is extremely limited for the banquet so please R.S.V.P. at your earliest convenience.
A $50 donation to The Flat Hat Fund is requested to attend the banquet and reception, or $25 for only the reception.
