The Greater Williamsburg Chamber and Tourism Alliance announced the creation of a $75,000 grant aimed at bringing amateur and professional sports to the Historic Triangle.
Citing figures from the National Association of Sports Commissions that a single athlete spends $789 in the local economy during a sporting event, the Alliance is optimistic about transforming Williamsburg into an athletic powerhouse.
