The William & Mary Real Estate Foundation announced Tuesday that three restaurants will be opening on the first floor of the new Tribe Square dorm this fall: The Crust, Pita Pit and Subway Cafe. The new dining options will be open until at least 1 a.m.
The Crust is a new concept restaurant developed by Baker’s Crust, a Newport News bistro with a location on Monticello Avenue. Featuring a wood-fired oven, the restaurant will serve pizza, sandwiches, salads and crepes and will have a full-service bar.
Subway Cafe will be a spin-off of the national sandwich chain, serving all of the typical Subway items as well as desserts and coffee products.
The Pita Pit will offer Lebanese pita sandwiches with vegan, vegetarian and meat options, as well as frozen yogurt.
The restaurants are not eligible for the Flex Points program, but are welcome to sign up for the Express payment system if they choose.
Negotiations are underway with a fourth, unidentified business.
