Thousands of atheists and skeptics gathered on the National Mall this Saturday for the first Reason Rally, according to the Washington Post. Organizers of the rally stated the purpose of the event was to unite the growing number of non-religious Americans. Oxford professor and evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins and “Mythbusters” co-host Adam Savage, among many others, spoke at the gathering.
