Moratorium Placed on Authorizing Drones for Local Enforcement

Imagine police drones hovering over highways looking for speeding cars. Concentrate on that thought for just a little longer. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, a House panel advanced a Senate measure that would place a moratorium on the use of drones by state and local law enforcement entities until July 1, 2015. The Senate bill will grant exceptions, especially for the Virginia National Guard in conducting training sessions.
