Editor-in-Chief: Ethan Qin ’26

Ethan (he/him) is a finance and data science student from Vienna, Virginia. He hopes to continue The Flat Hat’s historic legacy of impactful reporting and storytelling, as well as grow closer with all the amazing people on staff. On campus, he serves as an Orientation Aide and a member of the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity. In his free time, Ethan enjoys listening to music, weightlifting, seeing his friends, and trying new coffee shops.

Managing Editor: Mona Garimella ’27

Mona (she/her) is from Richmond, Virginia and hopes to continue the paper’s role of amplifying diverse voices that spark important discussions. She’s a psychology major and a member of Someone You Know. She enjoys visiting boutiques in CW, reading literary fiction and listening to podcasts. Feel free to send her any podcast recommendations!

Megan (she/her) is as English and Government double major from Chantilly, Virginia. She is excited to highlight our talented staff’s creativity and spotlight the diversity on our campus this year. Outside of The Flat Hat, she is also involved in theatre and the STAIR lab, and loves doing Pilates.

Alex (she/her) is a philosophy major from Tokyo, Japan. Aside from Flat Hat, she is involved in the Japanese American Student Association and the Flat Hat Magazine. She enjoys vintage fashion and decor, Snoopy, and making Swedish and Japanese cuisine in her free time. She also loves Garfield.

Operations Coordinator: Maddie Mohamadi ’27

Maddie (she/her) is an economics student at William and Mary. As Operations Coordinator, she looks forward to helping interns develop their reporting skills and crafting long-form articles for the paper. On campus, Maddie is also involved in The Monitor Journal of International Studies, the Economics Club and Chi Omega.

Molly (she/her) is a History and Hispanic Studies double major from Chicago, Illinois. She is also a member of the Innocence Club, which advocates for criminal justice reform. In her free time, she enjoys reading, attending workout classes, and spending time with friends.

Robin (she/her) is an intended government and English major from Spotsylvania, Virginia. She is looking forward to covering underrepresented groups on campus and meeting new and interesting people. She loves dancing, spending an afternoon reading, curating Pinterest boards, and listening to music. She is so excited to be more engaged with the Flat Hat!

Rebecca Fuchs (she/they, they/she) is a transfer student from Rockville, Maryland and is majoring in Public Policy and minoring in Environmental Science and Sustainability (ENSP). They are also a Student Researcher with the Institute for Integrative Conservation (IIC), working on a year-long research program focusing on Indigenous peoples in Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina! When she’s not conducting research for the IIC or writing/producing videos for The Flat Hat as an Associate News Editor, you can find them working on their poetry skills and spending time exploring the amazing trails and swimming holes outdoors!
