The unveiling of the 2010 CAA Preseason rankings provided a very familiar result, as the College was voted as the No. 2 team in the conference behind defending national champion Villanova.
The rankings and a list of the 2010 CAA Preseason Players of the Year and All-Conference teams were announced at the annual CAA Media Day at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md on Wednesday.
The poll is a survey of head coaches and media relations staff from every member school. For the most part, the results mirror last year’s regular season results, as the top two teams (Villanova and William and Mary) remain unchanged.
In addition to receiving a lofty preseason ranking, several Tribe players were granted All-Conference honors. Tailback Jonathan Grimes, offensive lineman Keith Hill, Jr., linebacker Jake Trantin and punter David Miller were among those who received All-CAA honors.
The College will begin its 2010 campaign on Sept. 4 when it travels to Amherst, Mass. to take on CAA foe Massachusetts.
