Jessee Vasold ’11 resigned as Student Assembly Secretary of Health and Safety.
In a letter dated Oct. 27, Vasold said that controversy surrounding the Impeachment Act, sponsored by Sen. Zach Marcus ’12 influenced his decision.
“I strongly oppose the Impeachment Act because it greatly reduces the separation of powers of the three branches of student government,” Vasold said. “The bill … neglects he fact that some members of the Senate are appointed and therefore cannot be impeached.”
Vasold also cited personal reasons for the decision.
