After graduating in 1945, Ruth Tillar has attended 65 homecomings. Meaning, she has not missed a single one. This enthusiasm for the College is one of the many reasons that Tiller was awarded the William & Mary Alumni Medallion this past weekend. The William and Mary Alumni Association started giving out the award in 1934, and is the highest award the Association bestows on graduates. At the College Tiller was the Flat Hat editor and a Kappa Alpha Theta sister. Also, attending William and Mary during the height of War War II, she was highly involved with organizing things to help with the war effort.
