WPD charges driver after student struck by vehicle while within Richmond Road crosswalk

According to Williamsburg Police Department Major Greg Riley, Wynn Conway was charged with failing to stop for a pedestrian after hitting a student with her car on Richmond Road at around 6:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12. The single-vehicle accident occurred on the 200-block of Richmond Road, just outside of the Wawa, while the student was traversing the crosswalk. Riley said that medics responded to the scene, but that the pedestrian did not go to the hospital for further treatment.
