Virginia Plans to Reduce Pollutants in Chesapeake Bay

According to the Virginia Gazette, Virginia submitted its Phase II Chesapeake Bay Watershed Implementation Plan to the Environmental Protection Agency this past weekend. The goal is to reduce levels of nitrogen, phosphorus and sediment in the bay through reduction strategies from major pollution sources, including sewage treatment plants, urban areas, and farms.
