In order to provide an introduction to Tribe basketball and increase enthusiasm for the upcoming season, Tribal Fever and the men’s and women’s basketball teams are coming together to put on the second annual Tribal Tip-off Friday at 9 p.m. at Kaplan Arena.

The event is supposed to give students a look at both the men’s and women’s rosters while giving audience members chances to win prizes.

Among the events scheduled are a 3-point shooting contest featuring men’s and women’s players, performances by cheerleaders and pep bands, and a dunk contest.

The audience will be allowed to participate in two events: a knockout game for a set of speakers, and a half-court shot contest for a new car.

Most importantly, the Griffin is rumored to be making an appearance.

The event starts at 9 p.m. and admission is free.
