Colonial Williamsburg opened a rebuilt public armory and blacksmith shop this past Saturday. The organization tore down the previous version of the armory in hopes of constructing a model more faithful to historical documents and modern research. “History is a moving target, and as time goes on we’re always getting more precise,” Garland Wood, Colonial Williamsburg’s master carpenter, said to the Williamsburg Yorktown Daily.
