According to Williamsburg Police Department Major Greg Riley, Wynn Conway was charged with failing to stop for a pedestrian after hitting a student with her car on Richmond Road at around 6:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12. The single-vehicle accident occurred on the 200-block of Richmond Road, just outside of the Wawa, while the student was traversing the crosswalk. Riley said that medics responded to the scene, but that the pedestrian did not go to the hospital for further treatment.

This accident happened almost exactly one week, to the hour, after another student was struck by a vehicle while walking within a crosswalk on Jamestown Road Monday, Nov. 5 at around 6:05 p.m. The driver in that instance was also charged for failing to yield the right of way.
