Staff Editorial: Work of Logo Committee must continue without Sadler

    p. Many students are justifiably upset with the College’s feeble attempt at a redesigned logo. While we, too, wish that a more inspired logo had been devised, it appears that we are now committed to the logo because of agreements with merchandisers. To mitigate the situation, the committee should continue to meet to develop a mascot as a part of the logo to improve its design.

    p. While we wish Vice President Sadler a speedy recovery, Athletic Director Terry Driscoll should step up to lead the committee in his absence. For the mascot, the committee would be wise to allow students to vote on a variety of options in order to avoid the problems that met the unveiling of the logo. For students concerned with the image of the College, this is a task that cannot wait two months to reach a resolution.
