A new initiative will be started to increase the Gateway fund to $10 million by the end of this calendar year, The College’s Board of Visitors announced at a Finance meeting this morning.
The members of the BOV have personally committed to pledge $1 million to help meet the goal.
College Interim President Taylor Reveley also announced a bequest of $5 million from alumna Joan Jarrett Woods that will go toward the $10 million.
Earlier in the meeting , the BOV decided not to take action on the green fees proposal for the current session.
