Law student casts Electoral College vote

Christia V. Rey J.D. ’10 will represent the First Congressional district in Virginia as a presidential elector when the state’s 13 electors meet to cast their votes for president and vice president in Richmond Dec. 15, according to a press release.

Rey is the first African American to represent the district in Virginia as a presidential elector and was elected to the post during the Democratic First Congressional District convention. “Chris Rey stands in the great tradition of citizen lawyers from William and Mary,” College President Taylor Reveley said in a press release.
