Late afternoon classes canceled for storm

    The College of William and Mary, battered by a rainy nor’easter, has canceled classes beginning at 4 p.m. today, Provost Michael Halleran wrote in a message to students.

    Classes at the Marshall-Wythe School of Law will continue until 6 p.m. Earl Gregg Swem Library will close at 8 p.m., six hours earlier than usual.

    Halleran noted the College expects Friday will see normal operations.
