The Peace Corps named the College of William and Mary the fifth largest contributor for medium-sized schools in its annual ranking of collegiate contributers. There are 40 undergraduate alumni volunteers from the College serving in the Corps. The University of Virginia is ranked 10th in the large college and universities category with 64 undergraduate alumni volunteers, and the University of Mary Washington is ranked second in the small colleges and universities category with 23 undergraduate volunteers.
