Virginia ranks 3rd in AP test ranking

According to the Daily Press, Virginia ranked third nationwide in the percentage of public school students earning a score of 3 or higher on the Advanced Placement examinations.

The College Board stated Wednesday that 22.9 percent of 2009 graduates earned a 3 or higher on at least one AP exam.

In 2008, 21.3 percent of graduates earned a 3 or higher on at least one AP exam.

Maryland ranked first in percentages with New York following in second.
