More than 100 college students from the College of William and Mary will join the nation in honoring Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. with a day of service. According to Williamsburg-Yorktown Daily, the Office of Community Engagement organized the day of service, broadening volunteer opportunities to Petersburg and Williamsburg thanks to a grant from the Corporation for National and Community Service. Students will give their time to volunteer at soup kitchens and several local nonprofits, including the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Heritage Humane Society and Housing Partnerships.
