Almost Relevant: Tuesday Links

Wow. Two posts in two days. We must really be straining ourselves, right?

In all seriousness, life finally returned to normal this week, the first full week back on campus for students since fall break. Because normal for us means sitting here in the Flat Hat office on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon, it seems only right that we post our Tuesday links of the week.

In no particular order:

Get ready to hear lots of the same themes heading into the men’s basketball season this fall. Can Quinn McDowell step up? How good can Kendrix Brown be? Can Tony Shaver provide entertaining copy while simultaneously revealing nothing of importance about this year’s team? The answer to the third one is a resounding yes.

The Tribe received an oral commitment from a recruit out of Massaponax High School. He was also recruited by JMU. He will certainly be a better addition to the college than the only other person I know from Massaponax, Sports Editor Mike Barnes.

An article on a men’s basketball recruit from the College. I know nothing about him except for the fact that Virginia Tech is also apparently interested.

Quinn McDowell gets a little love from one of the foremost authorities of CAA basketball. Seriously, Brian Mull’s blog following UNCW men’s basketball is required reading for any fans of the CAA this season.

I found this funny. Nice to see that its not only the student papers that can never win.
