New President Assumes Office – September 23, 1960

Dr. Davis Y. Paschall ’32 succeeded President Alvin Duke Chandler as President of the College. He received his B.A. and M.A. in History at the College while holding several jobs. These experiences helped him gain maturity and understand his colonial town better. In his welcoming remarks, he urged the freshmen to participate in activities that would help make college life more enjoyable.
